Samsung 85" TU-700D 4K TV Review & Installation Guide

[Music] hey hey guys what's up I'm Mike and welcome back or welcome to the ultimate Tech Hub today we're going to install this 85 inch Samsung 4K TV on our back wall this model is the tu-700d in the tu-700d is considered an entry level 85 inch TV so guys install should be very easy we're going to replace a 65 inch LG 4K TV it's about five years old so this is a huge upgrade in size and picture quality and to make this install even easier the wall mount is attached to this TV will also work with an 85 inch TV so basically we're swapping TVs and power cords and of course we'll have a link in the description on how to install this wall mount I've done a full video on it but good news for you during this video I will explain how we installed the wall mount just the basics So today we're going to install it go over the specs and the features and tested picture quality and at the end I'll give you my full review so let's get started well guys don't forget hit subscribe that's what the cool kids are doing the retail price for this TV is around 11.99 to 14.99 depending on seasonal sales and does include a three year warranty the first thing I noticed is this TV is packaged well the cardboard is heavy duty and lots of Styrofoam to protect that 4K TV this TV includes a crystal 4K processor and this smart TV is powered by tizen so included in the box with the TV is the power cable the remote batteries TV stands and user manual and weighs about 90 pounds and just a heads up this TV only includes two HDMI ports and the native refresh rate is 60 hertz but it does include 120 hertz Automotion Plus okay before we go any further I'm gonna take this TV down next and then I'll put the bracket on the back of the TV I'm gonna move this uh fireplace to a pretty nice fireplace I got a video on it too so make sure you watch the video have a link right here got it at Big Lots pretty cool fireplace no way then I'll unplug everything from the back all right you can see everything in the back here I'm just going to angle it out a little bit I can still pull this out quite a bit got all the connections here unplug everything power TV and the Apple box here as well we'll remove that all the hdmis only have two plugged in here and then two here what's great about this TV wall mount is that taking a TV or putting it on the wall mount is very simple it hangs on a hook all right with these wall mount kits they do come with a lot of different kinds of bolts for these holes right here and I found these these four will fit so let's go ahead and install when securing these screws to this bracket to the TV attach all four screws Loosely at first and then come back and tighten them when the Phillips head screwdriver all four screws should be very snug and tight you don't want any of the screws to be loose this could result with the TV falling off the bracket and that would ruin the TV for sure so make sure and double check these screws to make sure they're tight like I said before this TV is 90 pounds and you will need help hanging it and it hangs on a hook and you'll have to attach a small screw to the back to secure the TV and at this point we had a serious problem I'm not sure if you can see it yet but take a quick look and see what you think that fireplace will not fit under the TV and that sucks so now we have to remove the TV and I have to reinstall that TV mount about four inches higher in order for the fireplace to fit under the TV so with my trusty ratchet I simply removed all four bolts and took the mount Off the Wall easy [Music] next thing I have to do is get my trusty stud finder to find those studs once I find the studs I can start drilling and just a heads up the drill bit should be slightly smaller than the bolt that goes into the stud and of course my GoPro battery died while join the first three holes but basically you want to drill the first two holes at the top and go ahead and screw the bolts in Loosely and then drill the bottom two holes and then attach all four bolts and tighten them all the way these Bowls have to be very very tight and then we're going to hang that TV one more time and hopefully for the last time and it hangs right on the hook in the back and then we'll add that screw one more time to secure the TV to the Mount and we're done hallelujah now we have to plug in the power cord the ethernet cable and the HDMI cords and we'll put the batteries in the remote and Power on the TV for the first time which is always exciting hello and the TV is just tall enough to clear that fireplace by about an inch so this is the initial setup process you're gonna go through when you power on your TV for the first time and make sure to go ahead and update the software on your TV before you start playing with it and the last thing to do is to remove this protective film from the screen once again Samsung did a great job with packaging this TV and protecting that screen good job Samsung foreign make sure to hit like share subscribe comment and hit the Bell notification it helps with the YouTube algorithm thanks and finally we're all done all right we just got the TV installed on the wall you plugged our PlayStation 5 in centered perfectly we got maybe about an inch above the fireplace right now we're looking at 4K video and this is stunning and beautiful the colors are amazing This TV has several different display modes I'm going to show you a few of those right here right now we're set to Natural let's go ahead and move it to up to uh standard okay not bad how about dynamic dynamic looks great it gives you a lot more color it's more Vivid let's go down to so standard natural a little darker movie maybe a little more soft there's a filmmaker mode which is really cool I do like natural it's more soft but I do like that Dynamic let's put on Dynamic also with this settings we can go to sound and we'll go to Output TV speaker right now we're in adaptive standard amplify I'm guessing amplify means it's just a little louder gonna give you the Boost of your environment I like the Adaptive though and there's several different settings here General got a ton of stuff here Network assistant manager external device manager AirPlay settings there's smart features there's a power saving energy features and we'll look at our Network right now we're connected via the Lan cable but you can connect wirelessly to this TV so let's exit out of here stunning and beautiful gorgeous and this TV comes with a crystal 4K processor which allows for this stunning picture it's amazing another beautiful thing about this TV is the bezel is very tiny you can barely see the bezel at all matter of fact it's pretty much all picture some TVs have a thicker bezel and that's kind of annoying I do like the fact that this has got a minimal bezel around the whole TV and once again the colors are amazing and Vivid the purples the greens the darks the lights it's gorgeous beautiful like I said before this is an entry level 85 inch 4K TV the pricing this TV is around 1200 to 1400 depending on the time of year but the quality of this picture is amazing and wait till we get to gaming because this TV will adapt your PS5 automatically giving you the best settings let's give it a try so first thing we're going to play is in Gran Turismo 7. I love this game in this game on an 85 inch TV will be amazing foreign [Music] so good picture looks smooth [Music] I've seen the issues at all yet visually [Music] sound is pretty good too have to admit this game sounds better with a sound bar I have a Bose sound bar I could hook up to this TV if I want it I may do that you give the more deeper base with the bows but typically speakers on these TVs are not the best and sometimes they're downright horrible I mean you know how they are with speakers on TVs we all know that when they make TVs their priority is not the speakers it's really the TV itself the visual that's what sells these TVs is the visual not particularly the sound but once again as you can see beautiful all right guys a couple more things you need to know about this TV it is compatible with Amazon Alexa Google assistant and AirPlay 2. and this remote is programmable for all your devices but to be really honest about this remote I really don't like it it's pretty small if you look really close it's all jumbled together I prefer remote it's a little larger it has more space for your fingers I feel like when you go to hit a button it's a chance you can hit a different button they're just too close together but other than that this TV is incredible for the price point around 1200 to 1400 85 inch 4K unbelievable it's amazing the only downsize this TV is the remote control and the fact there's only two hdmis in the back and if you need more HDMI ports get an HDMI hub then I'll solve the problem but other than that this TV is incredible so guys remember like share subscribe and for God's sakes hit the Bell icon and I'll see you next video real soon peace [Music]
