Step 1: Turn Off Power

Before starting, **turn off the power** at the circuit breaker to avoid electrical shock. Always verify the power is off using a **voltage tester**.

Step 2: Remove the Old Light Switch

Unscrew the wall plate and remove the old switch.
Disconnect the ground wire (usually green or bare copper).
Cut and strip back the two main wires about **¼ inch**.

Step 3: Install the Motion Sensor Light Switch

Attach the **gold ground wire** into the green screw slot and tighten.
Connect the two remaining wires to either terminal (Leviton motion switches are not polarity-sensitive).
Gently push the switch back into the wall box and secure it with screws.

Step 4: Restore Power & Configure the Sensor

Turn the power back on at the breaker and test the motion sensor switch. Now, adjust the sensor settings:

Time Delay: The left dial sets how long the light stays on. **0 = 30 seconds** (default setting).
Light Sensitivity: The right dial controls light activation based on ambient lighting. - **Turn clockwise** to activate in brighter conditions. - **Turn counterclockwise** to activate in darker conditions.

Step 5: Test the Motion Sensor

Walk into the room and check if the **motion sensor activates the light** correctly. If needed, adjust the sensitivity or delay settings.

hey guys welcome back to ultimate tech hub on today's episode we will install motion sensor light from Levitan and remember to turn off the power at the breaker before you start the install our location for this install is our pantry this is a switch we're gonna replace let's get started and this is our motion sensor switch and the installation instructions let's remove the old switch first detach the gold looking ground wire cut the two remaining wires from the old switch now strip back the two wires about a quarter of an inch and don't forget to hit the subscribe button it's free insert the gold ground wire into the slot tighten the green screw until the wires firmly attached next attach the two remaining wires it doesn't matter which wire you choose either wire will work with both connections one wire attaches to the top location and the other wire attaches to the bottom location now gently push the switch back into the wallbox and screw it back in done now turn the power back on at the breaker and let's set up the sensor controls the switch works now let's take a look at the sensor controls remove the cover the left side adjust the time the light stays on zero means 30 seconds so that will be our setting the right side is the light adjustment turn the knob clockwise to turn on the light in lighter conditions and counterclockwise to turn the light in less light conditions now attach the cover let's go ahead and test the sensor now and the sensor works the install is complete remember if you liked this video give a thumbs up and share it and hit the subscribe button it's really important to keep his channel going thanks for watching [Music]
