Pentair Intellibrite 5G Pool Light Modes & Setup Guide

hi guys this is the intellibrite 5g led color changing pool light from pentair this model is the 601002 this light is 120 volts and comes with a 100 foot cord and professional installation is recommended today we're going to show you how to change all seven preset color changing light modes and all five preset color modes with the basic switch control i'm mike and this is the ultimate tech hub so we built our pool and we wanted to save some money on some of the construction costs so we opted to have this pool light installed without the intellibrite led light controller we can always have it installed at a later time and by buying the light controller myself i will avoid the high markup the pool company will charge me so the question is how do you change all the light modes without the controller to change all 12 light modes you can use the basic light switch let me show you how this works and be sure to check out our pool construction time lapse to see how we built this pool from start to finish so here is where the pool light switch is located and we can see our pool light from this location which is nice because we can see the light modes as we change them out of the box your pentair pool light is set to the sam color changing mode this mode cycles through white magenta blue and green colors and to be honest this is one of my favorite modes so when you turn on the switch for the first time you'll be in sam mode the next mode is party mode so turn the switch off and turn it back on twice up and down this mode is a rapid color changing mode which is great for parties mode three is a romance mode so turn off the switch and turn it back on three times this mode cycles through colors slowly it has a calming effect the next mode is caribbean mode so turn the light off and turn the light on four times this mode cycles between different blues and different greens the next mode is american mode so turn the light off and turn it back on five times and these color transitions are red white and blue the next mode is california sunset mode one of my favorites so turn the light off and turn it back on six times this particular mode cycles between orange red and magenta tones in the last color changing mode is royal mode and this is my favorite mode so turn off the light and turn it on seven times this mode gives you richer and deeper color tones it looks fantastic the next five modes are the solid color modes so turn off the light and turn it back on eight times this is blue now turn off the switch and turn it back on nine times and now you're in green mode turn off the light and turn it back on 10 times this is the red mode now turn off the light and turn it back on 11 times this is the white mode in our pool it looks blue because our pool plaster is blue so in your pool it may look different now turn off the switch and turn it back on 12 times and this color is magenta now we're all done with the seven preset color changing modes and the five preset color modes now there's two more modes we have a hold mode and a recall mode the hold mode will save the current color effect during a color light show so for instance if you're in romance mode and you like one of the color effects turn off the switch and turn it back on 13 times and this will keep on that color effect and using the recall mode it will activate the last saved color effect so turn off the switch and turn it back on 14 times and just a heads up if the power switch is turned off for more than 5 seconds the last color show mode or fixed color will be displayed so guys that's it this is how you access all 12 modes using the basic wall switch and i want to give a quick review of this light you've had this light for about six weeks and it works well i have seen reviews online that said this light lasts around three years i have had no problems with this light at all it works as advertised and i'm looking forward to getting the intellibrite controller which will make controlling these lights much easier and be sure to look for an upcoming video on the installation of that controller but for now we're all done here i want to thank you guys for watching if you like these videos give a thumbs up and share it if you love it hit subscribe to keep this channel alive thanks again for watching you
