what's up guys welcome back to another
video i'm mike thank you for joining us
i really appreciate it
guys today's episode we're going to
review a podcast kit from a company
called mayono
this kit retails for 50 dollars so it's
a great price and i think it comes with
everything you need to podcast right
away right out the gate so today we're
gonna unbox it set it up test it and
then review it so let's get started and
guys don't forget hit subscribe to keep
this channel alive and it's completely
free and i say free it's free
[Applause]
[Music]
the maono podcast kit includes a user
manual
a pop filter
a microphone cover
[Music]
a usb cable that connects your
microphone to your computer
the all-important usb microphone
it looks nice
a mounting clamp which can attach to a
desk
a shock mount for the microphone
[Music]
a boom arm
it does feel pretty sturdy and well
built
and these are the wire straps for the
usb cable
this is everything you get for 49.99
and that's pretty impressive
but how does the microphone sound
because that's the most important part
so i think we'll plug this into our
computer
and do some audio recording on this
video and we'll compare the miono mic
to the mic that we use the blue yeti
now to be fair i don't expect the me ono
mic
to sound as good as the blue yeti mic
especially at this price point but our
goal today is to test the audio quality
of this microphone and i want you to
hear it yourself so you can make a
determination whether it's good or bad
or somewhere in between so as you can
see we've already assembled the
microphone kit and the assembly is very
easy
every connection screws together and
locks in place
and the boom arm can be moved to
multiple angles
and you'll want to use the wire straps
to tuck away the usb cable to keep it
out of the way
okay guys this is the mayonna mic test
and right out the gate you're going to
have to set your recording levels this
condenser mic does not have a recording
level adjustment on it
so here's a couple tips to make this
microphone sound great
first you want to be about five inches
away from the microphone and you want to
use the pop filter
and you also want to use a microphone
cover
if you tend to talk even louder you may
want to move further away from the
microphone
this will avoid any distortion
and for me i tend to talk a little bit
loud so i moved the microphone about six
inches away perfect
and you should be talking straight ahead
to the microphone and not on top of the
microphone
this gives you the best result
and guys i have to say for fifty dollars
i'm pretty impressed
once again there's no comparison to the
blue yeti
the blue yeti is a much more expensive
microphone with a lot of features
but this may own a microphone kit is an
incredible deal for fifty dollars you
get everything you need to start
podcasting and recording right out the
gate
incredible
so guys if you're looking for an
all-in-one microphone kit to start
podcasting or recording your voice
and you're on a tight budget
then this kit is a must buy
we highly recommend it
and of course there'll be a link in the
description below so we can buy this kit
and once again you can hear the audio
from this microphone
and we have not altered this audio at
all
this is a straight in input no
compression or eq
so guys once again i want to thank you
so much for watching and if you have any
questions about the microphone kit leave
them in the comments below
