if you're in the market for a new mesh wireless router then you've come to the right video these are my top five mesh wireless routers in 2024 and going into 2025 and to be absolutely clear we are not sponsored by any of these router companies we handpicked these five mesh routers according to Features specifications performance size style and of course price and guys and gals before we get started make sure to hit subscribe it's completely free thanks all right guys and mesh router number one is the TP Link Deco X20 this is the best budget Wi-Fi 6 mesh router and is currently priced at under $160 the TP Link Deco X20 is one of our favorite mesh systems and that's because the exceptional 2.4 and 5 GHz throughput performance in our testing of the 2.4 GHz band the X20 performed well up to 35 ft and only had a slight drop in performance with no clear line of sight to the router but even then and the X20 performed very well at 100 megabits per second at 70 ft in our 5 GHz throughput test the X20 performed well at Short distances achieving almost 400 megabits per second up to 35 ft with clear line of sight to the router from 35 to 70 ft there was a large drop and we got average speeds of around 60 megabits per second and the x20's range on both bands was around 90 ft so you want to place your nodes at less than 90 ft apart and probably closer than that and remember you're not going to get blazing speeds at this price point and that's because of the lower-end hardware and the smaller antennas but the major upside for the X20 is the large coverage area the x23 pack covers up to 5,800 ft in the x22 pack will cover up to 4,000 ft the TPL link web interface as well as the app is very user friendly and setting up the router in nodes is very easy the TP link app will walk you right through the process both the web interface and the app include a plethora of settings from Advanced Wi-Fi settings qos port forwarding and the all important easy mesh and one more important thing to note about this system you can add other Deco nodes to the system they are not the X20 nodes so basically you can mix and match pretty cool and even better news The tplink Deco X20 is currently priced to the $149 and that's a smoking deal and The Deco X20 product link will be listed in description below all right guys and gals mesh router number two is the Euro 6 Plus Wi-Fi 6 mesh wi-fi system this is the best expandable mesh wi-fi system for Smart Homes the Euro 6 plus 3 pack uses three identical lowprofile nodes to provide 4,500 ft of coverage and that's 1,500 ft per node and these nodes are much smaller than the tplink Deco X20 and because of the small form factor these small nodes can blend in to any environment one thing to note about this system it does not offer USB or multi-gig connectivity the Euro 6 Plus is a dualband ax3000 system which means it can achieve a combined theoretical maximum data rate of 3,000 megabits per second and it includes all the latest Wi-Fi 6 Technologies wpa3 encryption ofdma and mu mimo and new to this system is the support for the 160 MHz Channel transmission and the older Euro Pros do not have this and the Euro 6 Plus uses a zigg radio to connect to a variety of smart home devices such as cameras lights smart plugs and thermostats the Euro 6 Plus performed amazingly well in testing the router's node score was a whopping 938 megabits per second at close proximity and the router throughput outperformed similar products and the satellite nodes perform nearly as well only the Asus Zen Wi-Fi xt8 perform better and the three-pack mesh system covers up to 4,500 ft with a total of 75 devices the Euro 6 Plus is currently listed for 239 and the Euro plus product link will be in the description below all right guys and gals mesh router number three is the net gear Orbee rbk 963 this is our top mesh wireless router for very large homes the neck gear Orbee rbk 963 is quite possibly the fastest mesh router system we've ever tested however with this speed comes a hefty price tag the rbk 963 includes one router and two satellites and FYI this is a Wi-Fi 6C system and one more thing to note the router and two Satellite nodes are very large quite possibly the largest satellite nodes we've ever seen however with these large nodes you'll have more antennas which means a wider coverage area and faster throughput and as a bonus this router includes a 10 gig wam Port so this system can handle high-speed fiber internet it even includes a 2.5 gig port for highspeed internet connections or a wired back haul on the 2.4 GHz band it can move 1.2 gbits per second and on the 5 GHz band it doubles the speed at 2.4 gbits per second and then on the 6 GHz band it adds another 4.8 gbits per second and this all adds up to a theoretical maximum throughput of 10.8 gbits per second and one one more thing to note each satellite node has 1 2.5 gig port and 3 1 gig ports the rbk 963 performed well in our tests and at 15 ft we achieved over 1 gig speeds and this data transmission rate is a 12% increase over the older models and other similar mesh systems trailed even further behind in throughput as to be expected the throughput dropped off quickly at around 50 ft or 15 M which was a little less than 200 megabits per second at 75 ft we achieve 94 megabits per second the Netgear Orbee app is easy to set up and use and total setup time was less than 20 minutes and the Orbee app has an intuitive dashboard which shows the router and the satellites and this app includes pral controls and you can even limit screen time the web interface is a bit more comprehensive which includes a few more adjustments and the rbk 963 includes a free one-year subscription to neck Year's Armor security software after that it'll cost you $99 a here the rbk 9963 is currently selling for $14.99 and the product link will be in the description below all right guys and gals mes router number four is The tplink Deco xc75 the TPL link Deco xc75 is one of the most affordable Wi-Fi 6C mesh routers while the performance is very solid the main appeal here is the price tag just $300 for two- pack system and the three-pack system will cost you $359 and that's hundreds of dollars less the comparable systems in my testing The Deco xt75 performed well and downloads were very Snappy however the uploads were quite a bit slower than the Euro Pro 6E and the neear Orbee ax6000 and one thing to note The Deco xt75 only contains 1 gig lamp ports and that means The Deco xc75 will bottleneck your connection if you spring for multi- gig internet plan like Google Fiber as far as size and style go the xc75 is about the size of a large coffee cup and is quite a bit smaller than the net gear Orbee as far as speeds go the 5 GHz band can achieve a maximum speed of 2,42 megabits per second and the 6 GHz band achieves the exact same speed the speed tests for the xt75 were very good and we achieve similar speeds to other Wi-Fi 60 mesh routers and at this price point if you're looking to dive into a Wi-Fi 60 mesh system this one won't break the bank the TPL link Deco xt75 product link will be in the descript deson below all right guys and gals the last mesh router on this list is our top pick for the best Wi-Fi 7 mesh router and that mesh router is The tping Deco b85 this wi-fi 7 mesh router is designed for large homes and includes the latest Wi-Fi 7 technology the 802.11b and this should bring a strong Wireless signal to every nook and cranny of your home like typical Deco systems the router and nodes are in a cylinder form these cylinders top out at 9.2 in and 5 in wide I have to say it's a little chunky but to get Wi-Fi 7 technology inside the cylinders it's going to take up some space and these cylinders will emit an LED glow that show when you're connected or if there's a connectivity issue the back of the unit contains a 10 gig W port a 10 gig SFP plus RJ45 Wan land combo port and 2.5 gig lamp ports also includes USB 3.0 and even a WPS button when it comes to speeds on the 2.4 gahz band you can achieve a maximum theoretical transmission rate of up to 1,376 megabits per second and you can achieve 8,640 megabits per second on the 5 GHz band and you can achieve a whopping 11,520 megabits per second on the newer and faster 6 GHz band and this system supports 4x4 mu mimo streaming direct to client beam forming wpa3 encryption ofdma 4K QAM and 320 MHz channels it also supports Alexa and Google Voice commands as well as mlo multi-link operation and what all these technical terms mean is that it's Wi-Fi 7 ready the b85 includes basic network security however if you want more extensive security you'll have to pay $4.99 a month or $36 per year which offers web protection intrusion prevention and iot protection and for $5.99 a month or $70 per year you get the total Security package which includes anti virus and VPN and even a password manager however after the first year that price jumps to $129 per year pretty expensive and if you follow my channel you know that I'm no fan of these pricey subscription Services they're pretty annoying just give us all the features when we buy these pricey routers please anyways the TP Link Deco app is is very easy to use as well as a web interface which I discussed earlier in this video so I'm not going to repeat myself as far as testing goes the B5 was very fast but not the fastest the Euro Max 7 and The N Gear Orbee 970 series were slightly faster than the b85 the b85 router's node score was 285 megabits per second at close proximity while the Euro Max 7 was 2,149 megabits per second and the Netgear Orbee 970 series was 2,29 megabits per second and at 30 ft the b85 did beat the erom max 7 but not the neck gear Orbee the bottom line is the b85 has strong throughput excellent signal strength and a generous amount of highspeed ports and even a USB port and at $14.99 it's not cheap but with new technology there is a price to be paid the TP Link Deco b85 product link will be in the description below all right guys and gals if you're in the market for a new wireless router or network switch make sure to watch these two videos right here and with that guys make sure to like share subscribe and comment and I'll see you in the next video real soon high five peace
