First, detach the POE camera from the mounting bracket. Unscrew the bracket and remove the camera carefully. Many cameras, like this Reolink model, have three cables: a POE connection, a reset button, and a DC power connection.
Step 3: Choose the New Location
Identify where the camera should go for the best angle. Drill a large enough hole for the Ethernet cable and mount the bracket securely.
Step 4: Running the Ethernet Cable
Push the Ethernet cable through the wall into the attic, being careful not to damage the connector.
Step 5: Attic Work
Navigate the attic carefully, walking only on the rafters. Locate the Ethernet cable, pull it through, and plug it into the new location.
