How to Install the RTX 2060 Super & Performance Review

what's up guys welcome back to the channel in today's video is another gpu installation this is the msi geforce rtx 2060 super so in this video we're going to show you how to install the rtx 2060 super we're going to go over the main specs of the gpu and we're going to tell you how much power it's going to take to run this gpu and somewhere near the end of the video we're going to tell you how much money we've worked over for this gpu and you might be surprised or maybe not and then at the end of the video we'll give you our final thoughts and our review of this gpu and throughout the video as well as the end of the video we'll have some video links to other gpu installs like the 1050 ti and 1660 ti and our ultimate gpus playlist and because the ultimate tech hub is a family-run business i'm going to have my son install the gpu and this is the pc where we're going to install the rtx 2060 super so first thing you want to do is turn off the pc and even turn off the power supply in the back there's a switch next remove the cover from the pc and this pc already has a gpu it's a geforce gtx 1050 ti so the rtx 2060 super should be a really big upgrade for us so once the cover is removed then simply remove the one screw that holds the gpu to the back of the pc unplug the power from the gpu and then next remove the gpu from the pcie slot there's a tab you have to press down so the gpu comes out okay that was easy now it's time to install the rtx 2060 super it's a pretty easy install simply snap in the rtx 2060 super into the exact same slot you want to make sure it's pushed in all the way and then attach the one screw in the back that's going to hold the gpu to the back of the pc now you want to attach the power supply and it's eight pins okay now put the cover back on the pc [Music] turn the power supply switch to the on position and fire up your pc now after you log into the computer you want to launch geforce experience and update the drivers and these are the important specs that make the rtx 2060 super super so first let's talk about the outputs on the back of the gpu the rtx 2060 super has three display ports and one hdmi port that supports 4k at 60 hertz this is the hdmi 2.0 standard as far as power consumption this gpu clocks in at 175 watts and a 550 watt power supply is recommended and our power supply is a 650. this gpu has 8 gigs of video memory and 14 gigs of memory speed its base clock is 1470 megahertz and its boost clock is 1650 megahertz the memory interface and bandwidth is 256 bit and 448 gigabits per second and the rtx 2060 super has 2176 processing cores and this gpu is vr ready and g-sync ready and this card has two fans to keep it nice and cool so what is the bottom line for this gpu according to nvidia the rtx 2060 super has the same level of performance as the rtx 2070 and the 2060 super is much cheaper which makes me wonder why would anybody buy the 2070 just saying as far as my top three pros for this card it's excellent at 1440p it only draws 175 watts of power and lastly the price and you're probably wondering how much i pay for this card well don't forget it's 2022 and gpus are still expensive and we paid 500 for the rtx 2060 super i'm not sure we got a great deal on this but at this point getting a quality gpu is tough to come by especially the 500 range the one thing this gpu can't do besides make you a cup of coffee is it can't handle 4k gaming that's kind of a bummer but once again at this price point in this 2022 this is to be expected i would give the 2060 super a 4 out of 5 stars if it could handle 4k gaming it would get five stars so guys i hope you learned something about the 2060 super how to install it the power consumption all the specs and the pros and cons so guys make sure to follow ultimate tech hub on instagram we do prague giveaways every four months and to be eligible to be in the drawing you have to be following us and guys i also want to encourage you to visit my patreon page where two dollars a month helps keep this channel going and for every new member we do a personal shout out on the very next video pretty sweet so guys remember if you like this video give a thumbs up and share it and if you love it hit subscribe to keep this channel alive thanks again for watching we'll see you next video real soon peace
