Reolink Duo 3 Review – 16MP 4K PoE Security Camera

what's up guys and gals we're back with another outdoor Poe camera installation and review this is the real link duo3 16 megapixel dual lens Poe security camera and the duo3 features 2 4K image sensors this camera has a 180° panoramic view and includes motion track and color night vision the DU 3 is compatible with allnew realink MVR systems however it's not compatible with the older MVR systems and the duo 3 can be viewed from your phone or the client app on your PC and the duo 3 has an additional micro SD port for in camera recording and the du3 has an IP67 rating which means it's durable in all weather conditions except maybe a hurricane or typhoon and all real link product links are listed in the description below we currently have six realink cameras installed on our home and five of those cameras are 5 megapixel and one of the cameras is 8 megap so my plan is to replace one of the 5 megap cameras with a Duo 3 and the camera that we're going to replace is a camera on the east side of our house and this camera faces the side of our house and the RV gate however installing the do3 should give us a wider viewing angle which should include the basketball court side yard and RV gate all in one shot so installation should be simple the first thing I have to do is unplug the old camera and then remove it and then install the new bracket on the side of the house however the first thing you should be aware of is this camera is not designed for every type of location if you have a small space like a front door or back patio then this camera will not work because the field of view is too wide for that small of a space the duo 3 should be installed in an area that will view a very large space like a pool or maybe a sidey yard the duo 3 is easily installed with a bracket that has three screw holes using the provided screws and wall anchors and these three screw holes can be attached to wood or stucco also you'll need to run Ethernet from the MVR system to the new camera location so call a low volt installer or watch one of my ethernet installation guides which will be at the end of this video it's not that hard so you want to attach this metal bracket with the two bottom screws do not attach that top screw yet so now we'll attach the camera to the bracket this camera attaches to the bracket with one screw and use the provided allen wrench to tighten it one cool thing about this camera is that this camera has two mounting options one on the top and one on the bottom and for our installation we're going to mounted to the top so once you tighten the camera to the bracket you can then tighten the top of the bracket as well to make everything solid and tight Slide the white plastic bracket on top of the metal bracket and secure that bracket with a top screw make sure this screw is very tight the bracket should not move at all and then plug your ethernet into the poe connection and make sure to use the wire cover then push all the wire back into the attic space and now you can adjust the camera to get the perfect angle and what's great about the real link cameras is they automatically connect to your MVR system no initial setup is required now you can make changes to the duo3 you can name it change the view to stretch turn on the spotlight turn on the recording snapshot you can turn audio on and off you can set night mode to color and there's many other video display settings one thing I don't recommend is using stretch view because it distorts the picture the wi view is the best so I have to admit this camera is pretty awesome to be honest I wasn't sure if I like the panoramic viewing angle but it's actually amazing I can see my entire side yard front to back and that's a huge area we're talking more than 200 ft in the do3 video quality is much better than the 5 megapixel camera the image quality is uncomparable even the audio is crisp it picks up everything one of the biggest advantages of the DU 3's 180° viewing angle is that it eliminates any and all blind spots and I have found no other camera on the market that can do this and second is the amazing image quality with 16 me pixels and two 4K image sensors this camera is ridiculously sharp and clear even at night and speaking of night I love the color KN Vision the third Advantage is the incredibly bright LED spotlights that turn on when motion is detected and these lights are bright and we're talking 560 lumens and of course this is a great deterrent for bad guys lurking in the night and the fourth Advantage is the onboard micro SD Storage the fifth Advantage is the easy installation and setup and lastly is the very affordable price of $189.99 and as up today it's priced at $68.99 get them while they're hot the only downsize to the du3 is you will need ethernet installed to the camera location and one more downside is the motion tracking the motion tracking only works if you enable email notifications which means getting emails on a regular basis and we're talking every 30 seconds or every 60 seconds and that's kind of annoying if real link could allow motion tracking without those annoying email notifications this camera would be perfect but even then the DU 3 is my new favorite camera real link hit a home run so guys thanks for watching the prodct link for this camera will be in the
