really appreciate it so on today's video
i'm going to show you how to hide or
secure your sensitive data on your
samsung phone we all know that locking
your phone with a fingerprint or a pin
code is a good way to protect your data
on your phone but that method is not
good enough because if your phone is
unlocked and someone picks it up they
can access your sensitive data so how do
we keep that sensitive data secure well
i'll show you right now and it takes
less than a minute and when i talk about
sensitive data i'm referring to pictures
video documents and apps so the first
thing you want to do is go to settings
on your phone
then go to biometrics and security
next look for secure folder
click on secure folder and then hit
agree
next enter your samsung account password
then hit ok and next go ahead and draw
the current pattern
that you use to unlock your phone
and now you can set up a fingerprint to
unlock the secure folder
and once you're done setting up the
fingerprint
press done i'm going to use account
password to unlock the folder or
fingerprint and to verify the account
enter your samsung password one more
time and then hit agree and at this
point we have to wait for the secure
folder to be created
it takes about 30 seconds so what kind
of sensitive data should you put in this
folder well here's a quick
recommendation put any videos or
pictures that might be embarrassing into
the secure folder if you have any
sensitive work documents put them in the
secure folder if you have any bank or
financial apps put them all in the
secure folder no one will even know it's
on your phone except for you and once
the folder is created we can even hide
that folder for better security i also
recommend using a password to unlock
this folder it's the best security
and here's our new secure folder
and here are the default icons
gallery calendar contacts
camera internet my files and samsung
notes
let's go ahead and add a picture to the
gallery click on the three dots and then
go to add files and there's five options
we're going to select images and then
select the picture and hit done we can
move or copy we're going to move it and
now that picture is in our gallery
right here and when you're done with
this folder make sure to hit lock and
exit if you want to hide this folder go
to quick settings and tap on secure
folder to hide it and you can tap on it
again to unhide it so remember this
secure folder adds an additional layer
of protection to the sensitive data on
